Light & Dark

Embrace this transient darkness,
Bygone dusk heralds a novel dawn.
Where's the light and what's the gain?

Poison

I - the last desparate refuge,
In your defiant act of profanity.
I am as clear as water,
And as sweet as honey,
Touching the rosy wet lips,
That smiled in bliss long ago,
Sliding down the very throat,
That had sung a happy song,
Quicker than the blink of an eye,
Mightier than your power of will,
Into you I enter with infernal wings,
And the last whiff of hope goes out.
Once you were life and now no more,
For I am the very kiss of ebony death.

A Poet's Confession

These may be just words phrased,
In the many lines of this very page.
For some it makes no sense,
Or be of any consequence,
Yet I dare to paint a painting too many,
With the colours of profound imagination,
On this vast canvas of your heart and mind,
So that you can see and live a moment,
Through the artistic eyes of poetry.

Speak

You speak and let me just listen,
For, after ages your satin smooth voice,
Titillates my Soul.

Sayonara

Sayonara

Sayonara, my dearest bird,
Harbinger of the purest quality worthy unto me,
Mellowed, I cry for you.

Prostitute!

Prostitute!

What glory do you find,
Quenching the fiery lust of men,
Wretched are these men's thoughts,
Who procreate in voluptuous disdain.
You sold this satin body at his behest,
To beget that insignificant fortune to live,
Blasphemous this may seem,
For you are his own child too.
Society's veiled object of desire are you,
Shuns you to its very brink - an outcast.
The very act that's so sacred,
Is painted by the devil dark,
Yet I see your unblemished soul - lotus,
Aren't you for this world a prostitute?

King of Beasts

King of Beasts

Awoken by the gentle rays at dawn,
Den by the sides of the serene pond,
Striding in search of an easy game,
My growl heralds a death snare.
I see thou, the weakest link,
Amongst thine very kind,
Run for thy dearest life,
As this sprint is the last for thee.
Gut instinct drives my every move,
Thou art nothing but a sumptuous meal,
Tender flesh, juicy blood,
A feast for my voracious belly.
Bow down thy last breath unto me,
For I am "The Ultimate King of Beasts".

Eternal Optimist

Eternal Optimist

An eternal optimist - I stood there,
As the incessant time passed by.
At the doors of innocuous hope,
Waiting for the one to complete me.
Competing against the mocking fate,
Deprived of a felicitous destiny.
This sacrilege of the velvet dreams within,
Broken to smithereens, piece by part,
And scattered across the bygone path,
Rusting away to obscured nihility.
Where art thou? Fairy angel of salvation,
Pick these tiny bits from the crimson dust,
And stitch them back with a magic touch.
Resurrect me from the auburn ash of phoenix,
So that I soar to the celestial stars up above.

To my Team...

To my Team...

I entered the company as a fresher,
No idea about any work pressure.
But the scintillating atmosphere,
Left no space for any inhibiting fear.

The grey matter inside my head;
Will earn me, my daily bread.
For this I must balance my act on thin thread,
As I have to go a long way ahead.

It is a joy to work in my team,
Everyone united under a single theme.
There is a lot for me to learn from them,
Each one is an invaluable gem.

Colleagues who bond as a friend,
Dedication to work has no visible end.
By accomplishing the herculean task,
The finest Subexian kind unmask.

Many are the customer's demand,
Some may be hard to understand.
But we'll show them where we stand,
Ready to fight for a success grand.

Many months of arduous toil,
Umpteen nights of burning midnight oil,
This is the project's hour of need,
So that the best laid plans succeed.

We believe in being the best,
Not to be one among the rest.
No matter how hard they test,
"We are the Champions in this Quest".

Nature - The Best Teacher

Nature - The Best Teacher

Flawless are the ways of nature,
Divine creation of gigantic stature.
Gentle and caring as a mother,
She is the life's best teacher.

Subtle and indirect is the nature's principle;
Yet, learning the lessons are very simple.
In silence dawns the sense of freedom,
Invaluable are these pearls of wisdom.

From earth we came and to her we go;
Through the life's journey, on her we grow.
Each part of earth shares something wise;
Enlightened by these, a new era will arise.

Moon is not flawlessly perfect;
Accepting the scars, she has no regret.
As her matchless beauty,
Is the source of everyone's envy.

Human mind is like the moon,
You better realize this soon.
The bright side is all that you see;
The other is hidden, shrouded in mystery.

What you see is just an iceberg's tip.
For the whole you must take an icy dip.
To understand a person is not that simple,
Nor it is easy like a smiley dimple.

Roaring waves in motion at the seashore,
Enact a fact of life you must not ignore.
What goes up should come down,
Those caught unawares will all drown.

Winged birds fly very high,
For miles in the vast blue sky.
But never forget where they stand,
As the ground is where they'll all land.

From sand learn the secret of a relation,
In the heart will blossom a sense of elation.
Grab tightly with force and away it flows,
Hold gently with respect and it'll stay close.

Bliss is like a butterfly.
Go behind it; it flies high.
Catch hold of it; it will die.
But leave it free;
It will descend on thee.

Thoughts are like a floating cloud,
Inside the mind they often crowd.
Be unfazed by either pleasure or torture,
Just realize their transient nature.

No matter how big is a tree,
It shelters all for free.
The tree stays connected to its root,
Each part bearing a precious fruit.

Serene and calm is the humble water's norm,
Flexible to take up any container's form.
Flowing water is dynamic and strong,
All the way singing their melodious song.

Murky lakes are where the lotus blossom,
Yet their radiant beauty is so awesome.
They change their surrounding ambience,
With just their simple presence.

Laws of nature are for all to abide,
No privilege for some to hide.
For as long as a person lives,
The nature never forgives.

Tribute to Her - My Valentine

Tribute to Her - My Valentine

My tribute to angelic love,
A blessing from the Almighty above.
I found her, who is very special,
She - A priceless, gorgeous damsel.

Her beautiful eyes look like almond.
Her jovial heart made of diamond.
Her flowing hair as smooth as silk.
Her perfectly crafted teeth as white as milk.

It is very hard to find,
A person of this kind.
Now she is my friend,
And that she'll be till the end.

I, who knew nothing about love,
What is it that I had to prove?
In the whisper of her silence,
I discovered the bliss of divine ambience.

Love is a beautiful art,
That arises in the tender heart.
When a cupid shoots a magical dart,
It unites two souls that are apart.

How do you know she is your soul's mate?
If you have been a slave of your own fate.
Be one with your soul before it's too late,
Only then both can unite in a cosmic state.

If being in love is a madness,
Then let me have it in excess.
For hidden is a nectar sweet,
It transends even the heavenly treat.

For some love is only a dream,
For many it is a midnight scream.
For others love is just a play,
But for me it is the life's way.

Crimson love might be selfish,
Praying to grant my every wish.
But without her acceptance,
These things would just make no sense.

With time they say wounds heal,
With patience you get life's best deal.
No matter how strong I feel,
I don't want to manipulate her freewill.

This confession, it must be heard,
I tried to cage my love bird.
I forgot that she too has dreams,
Free to fly with crimson wings.

I made an unbreakable vow,
To never propose my love.
It is a seed that I sow,
So she can fly free as a dove.

As time flows by like a meandering river,
I will love her in this way forever.
Now I have nothing to fear,
In my heart she'll stay very dear.

In the realm of my innocent dream,
We both make an awesome team.
But will she ever be mine?
MY SWEET VALENTINE...
