A Dream of Life...

A beautiful day in time, years before,
Was born a boy into this world of fast paced existence.
Through the womb of a holy pristine Mother
And imbuing qualities from a majestic noble Father.

The boy was welcomed by kin and all,
With feastive joy; a gala celebration.
Aye! They said in unison -
"He is a jewel in our genealogy,
His days of prime will be those of crowning glory,
A support to all during their needy days of shady dusk".
Aye! His Procreators too nodded in agreement.

That boy..., his days of childhood,
Those sweet moments are to be cherished forever.
He was loved by one and all, a darling of their eyes.
His innocent dreams, mischief and imagination...
And in such imagination lay a perceived reality full of bliss,
Away from the grown up's plightful reality down abyss.

But one day his mischief crossed that thin line
And became reason for an innocent tear.
Then an Angel came forth him,
Which was just a velvet voice within
And spake unto him words of wisdom,
Showed him the distinction between good and evil;
Then said - " To err as a human at some point is to be expected,
But thou shall realize it and seek forgiveness for the wrongdoing".

Abiding by the angel's words, he grew into his prime of youth.
But the reality of the grown ups was hard on him.
For many he was the world's dullard jester lacking practical sense.
The departing of his procreators from the mortal realm,
Brought in gushing torrents of misery and sorrow.
Adding to this, his true beloved sweetheart, his soulmate,
As was his eternal claim, left him for more golden pastures,
Bringing unto him doom and despair.

Rosy red tenderly heart,
That gentle and sensitve life within,
Bleeding from the obnoxious hurt,
Began withering away to obscured oblivion.
Like the shedding of leaves which were once life,
From the trees at the Autumn's dawn.
But the Immaculate Soul of the higher eon lay in wait,
Awaiting the return of the life replenishing Spring.
Such optimistic expectations were not to be fulfilled,
Not so for the rest of his Zombied life.

Devils merried and Angels wept,
Seeing his mortal plight.
Now guided by the croaked voice of the devil,
He set forth amassing material power and wealth,
An obsession to be quenched by satiety,
Which eons to come would not be.
Had he heard an angel instead,
He would have known that at such places lay none to few,
Those wretched like himself; Skew.

His wife who was now his beloved too,
As some claimed it to be true,
Seeing his ghastly fate left him to suffer in lonely cavity,
Least he bring forth a calamity upon her and their darling child.

Although he did beget much of what he had set to amass,
Now senile on his death bed,
During the last days of his own shady dusk,
He found himself alone on one and the rest together
On the other side of that fragile divide of humanity.

Hands raised and fingers pointed towards him, people said -
"As thou left us to rot in thine God forsaken quest,
we too shall abandon thee at this hour of thine need".

A fortnight later, during the darkest hour of midnight,
Lying on his golden cot, death came knocking...
And he passed away into afterlife.
After death's bidding came two scavengers;
One after his wretched material hoarding
And the other for his rotten corpse.
And from this a phantom apparition arose into nothingness...

Suddenly he opened his eyes with a cold shiver
And smiled silently unto himself,
Knowing that it was all just a dream
And his beloved still beside him...
His Greatest Relief...!!!

Companionship...

Angel & Devil, in every self they stand,
Waging a war daily till the very end.
Love & Hate, their allies in this territory,
In whose favour will there be a victory?

Would anyone care for this outcome?
Angelic Love or Satanic Hate,
Stronger one among them will shine,
Milky white or Ebony black?

A day in time, she came by my side.
Her companions too walked alongside.
Their war was more savage than my own,
To befriend them would anyone frown?

At Love's behest I chose to befriend,
She and her companions as well.
For a moment the devil was silenced by an angel,
Naive reasons I do not want to find.

A relationship set sail to conquer unfathomable dreams,
Honesty, Compromise and a will to Understand,
Were its Oars, Sails and the Mast.
But the bridge of trust collapsed unable to withstand
Steadfast churnings of the life, at last.
Now Devil laughs with the hurt and an Angel screams.

I risked everything that I had,
Even willing to get destroyed in Love.
A Love that was once a dream,
Then appeared to look real,
Later seemed like an illusion,
But in reality it never did exist!

Past went by and a Future lies in wait,
Destiny's date or mockery of Fate?
A decision to be myself has been made,
She was once mine,
And now NO MORE!!!
