Darkness to Light

Darkness to Light

I began as a traveller in darkness,
On this vast ocean of my life's journey.
I was seeking from the twinkling stars up above,
To show me the unseen shores of my destiny.

Fighting with the brutal tempest,
For the sake of my dreams of Everest,
I continued to sail on this quest,
Which looked to be full of zest.

Night still prevailed around this sea,
Showing many strange things for me to see.
Poison was sweet as honey,
Divine nectar - bitter and tangy.

Some whom I considered my very own,
Showed me that, to them I am just a stranger.
And many who were to me just a stranger,
Showed me that, to them I was their very own.

Not knowing the inner meaning of this irony,
I ran around in confusion; blindly.
Tired of all this I sat down alone,
And let whoever I was to be gone.

In silence it then dawned to me,
At the twilight hour of dawn,
I am you and you are all my very own,
And this whole world is my only one.

A shining light enlightened my path,
Directing me as a magnetic compass needle.
Clouds dissolved as showers of love for my bath,
And my heart was lit up by a bliss candle.

I see you; divinely beautiful pearl,
Strung together in this string of creation.
Knowing you are here with me,
I dance celebrating my jubilation.

The past went by to its grave,
And a bright future awaits the brave,
This moment is all you have,
So be the best of what the divine gave.

Spread more love than you can get,
Others need it as much as you do.
Rise above from darkness to light,
In every end there is a new beginning.

Marriage

Medley of the celestial stars up above,
Indicate a perfect match made in heaven.
In marriage the two souls unite in divine love,
Taking an oath of bonding around the holy fire
To be husband & wife until eternal seven.

Princess of Dreams

It has been ages since I walked,
The forgotten corridors of my memory.
All those seem so very fresh,
The many chapters of my history.

I was walking all alone beneath a banyan tree,
And by the first light at dawn I saw you.
A glimpse of your radiant beauty enlivened me,
Like the refreshingly fresh sparkling drops of dew.

Melodious medley of violins & saxophones,
In the chambers of my heart they began.
Drenched in the rain of happiness & joy,
Emotions like a wild stallion they freely ran.

Your mesmeric looking beautiful sapphire eyes,
Float around in pearlescent snow seas.
Your long silky hair with ebony black shade,
Flows rhythmically in a wavy cascade.

Ever smiling tender lips in the colour of scarlet,
Are artistically curved like an archer's bow.
Gorgeous dimpled cheeks, from where did you get?
They are satin smooth like the rose petals in a row.

Your euphonic velvety voice,
Resonates like a bamboo flute.
And unbearable is the silence,
At times when you are mute.

Everything about you is perfectly made,
At every moment in me you pervade.
Being unique you are hard to please,
Divine architect's sole masterpiece.

For others you may have been a doll of many means,
But for me you are the Princess of all my dreams,
And I'm the Prince charming on a search mission,
To find you in a castle on the clouds of imagination.

In dreams you are so real,
But in reality you are a dream.
I've looked everywhere with great zeal,
But in vain for the pearl's cream.

Make me wait no more,
You must be somewhere for sure.
Come very soon my dear,
And become one with me forever.
I Love You!!!

Dis-Illusion

How can I rejoice in this world,
When she mourns and cries the loss of a dear one?
How can I be at peace with ease,
When there are so many broken pieces everywhere?

Would the holy fire of the funeral pyre,
Discriminate the corpse that it burns?
Would the body demand that the coffin be divided
Into physical boundaries for each of its organs,
As one's God is more sacred than the others?

Would a predator or a scavenger,
Discriminate you based on your status or colour?
To them, you are just a sumptuous meal.
Then why do you bias your views against your own brethren,
And shed so much of an innocent blood and tear?

Many civilizations arose and many a war fought,
Many were their immortal gods; or so they thought.
But some went away soon and the rest a bit later.
Now, buried in books they just remain a forgotten past,
And all those mute monuments will also crumble at last.

Nothing in this world is for yours to keep,
What you sow is what you reap.
This world as you see it is a big illusion,
The very next moment is beyond your perception.

Into this world you came naked and empty,
And away from it you shall go the same way.
Just for a moment you will walk on this earth,
And then you repay the debt by turning into dust.
So till this moment lasts, Love One Another...
As nothing transient as you can last forever!

Angel and Me

I see you walking by me as an angel,
That jewel of a smile which is so simple.
Who you are I will never know,
You are that rare breeze
which will only once blow.

Here I am in a shady dark cave,
Watching my inner prisoner's innocent crave.
I must say I am insane or totally brave,
Seeking a felicitous destiny
before I reach my gloomy grave.

An angelic love that is so very precious,
Without it this world would be disastrous.
Hey divine angel it is time for goodbye...
But will there be another crossroad in my life
where we meet again and say Hi?

My reality none will ever come to know,
I live in this moment and the rest is just a show.
In search of tomorrow's delightful dawn here I go,
Sowing the seeds of a beautiful dream and letting it grow.

Smokey Stick!

Burn, burn, burn my cigarrete,
If it really makes you feel great.
Burn, burn, burn my cigarrete,
Smoking it is your chosen fate.

You are trapped in this fatal addiction,
If you believe the white whiff of smoke,
Chases away all ebb feelings of frustration.
And statutory warnings will seem a big joke!

If the red amber tip of that rolled up stick,
Gives you a poison tar ebony black kick,
Then burn; burn me too quick,
The very life in you, I feel sick.

The process has already begun...
The burning of your smokey pyre.
Away from this you better run,
This! Your burning desire.

Rise up from your abyss and shine.
Be strong and everything will be just fine.
Breath in the nature's gift that's nectar pure,
In letting go of your habit lies the cure.

Smell this nature's sweet scented aroma,
Away from all this world's stress and trauma.
A prayer from life's tenderly bosom,
In you let all the happiness blossom.

Replenish me... give life a chance,
Then watch me in a merry making dance.
Come out of your masochistic trance,
And start living with a positive stance.

Remember these words the next time you smoke,
You can choose a healthy life or a deadly stroke.
There is so much in you worthwhile to offer,
Then why let others and yourself suffer?

Lullaby

Let me sing you a lullaby,
The golden sun saying goodbye.
Sleep well my little child,
Dream and you shall find.

Listen! This medley has just begun,
Hustle of the willow wood leaves' jubilation,
Orchestrates a magnificient vying serenade,
For the lady breeze on her serene promenade.

Fairy angel stars with their twinkling lantern,
Dance a million ballet never ever forgotten.
Moon, the gorgeous damsel of the midnight sky,
Majestically sails across the milky way so very high.

Let me sing you a lullaby,
It is time for me to say goodbye,
Heralding dawn unveils your heart's treasure trove,
This cosmos drenched in honey heavenly love.
I Love You!!!
